Leancubator, represented by Nesrine R. ZIAD Ziad, attended the launch of the AgriTech Incubation & Acceleration Program – Cycle Algerian Agripreneurs.

Part of the component “Development of Innovation in Agribusiness in Algeria (#InnovAgro)”, under the broader project “Digital and Green Entrepreneurship Development (#DGA)”, led by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-entreprises (MECSME), co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)) and the European Union, and implemented by GIZ Algeria.

Over the past two years, the InnovAgro component has contributed to strengthening Algeria’s AgriTech ecosystem through several structuring initiatives, including the establishment of the Agri FabLab to support prototyping and technological experimentation, and the development of the A-DIH (Agricultural Digital Innovation Hub), accelerating digital transformation in the Agri-Agro sectors. The launch of the Agripreneurs incubation and acceleration program builds on these efforts by providing structured support to innovators and early-stage startups in the sector.

The ceremony gathered national and international institutional representatives, including representatives from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Microenterprises, the Secretary-General of the Ministry, H.E. Diego Mellado, Ambassador of the European Union to Algeria, H.E. Georg Felsheim, Ambassador of Germany to Algeria, Dr. Elke Forster, Resident Director of GIZ Algeria.

The new cycle will support 40 innovators and 25 startups, contributing to the continued development of Algeria’s AgriTech ecosystem.
