A Key Challenge for Startups

The Learning & Immersion Days continue with a new session focusing on a key challenge for every startup: financing.

As part of this session, Algeria Startup Challenge 2025 (ASC2025) startups took part in “Immersion into Financing Mechanisms in Algeria & Focus on ASF”, a dedicated session aimed at helping entrepreneurs better understand the financing landscape in Algeria and the mechanisms available to support innovative businesses.

Exploring Algeria’s Financing Landscape

The session was led by Ms. Amel DAHMANI, Director of Investments at the Algerian Startup Fund (ASF), and Ms. Kahina Ould Arab, Deputy Partnership Management Officer at ASF.

Through their presentations and direct exchanges with the entrepreneurs, our startups gained a clearer understanding of the main financing mechanisms available in Algeria, the solutions that may best fit their business model, needs, and stage of development, and the role that the ASF can play in supporting their growth.

Understanding the Right Financing Options

The session also gave participants a better understanding of startup financing challenges and the importance of choosing the right financing mechanisms and financial partners at each stage of a company’s journey.

For a startup, financing decisions are not only about the amount of funding needed. They should also reflect the company’s maturity, business model, current needs, and growth ambitions.

Connecting Startups with Financing Actors

Beyond the knowledge shared, the session provided an opportunity for direct interaction with ASF representatives, allowing entrepreneurs to raise questions and gain a better understanding of the financing and support opportunities available to them.

These exchanges helped bring startups closer to key ecosystem actors and provided a more practical perspective on the opportunities available to innovative businesses.

Learning Through Ecosystem Immersion

This session is fully aligned with the purpose of the Learning & Immersion Days: giving ASC2025 startups the opportunity to connect with key ecosystem actors, gain practical knowledge, and better prepare for their next stage of development.

A sincere thank you to our partner, the Algerian Startup Fund (ASF), as well as Ms. Amel DAHMANI and Ms. Kahina Ould Arab, for their time, expertise, and the quality of their exchanges with our entrepreneurs.

Another step towards understanding, choosing, and financing growth more strategically.
