Leancubator participated in the panel discussion “Innovating Together for Sustainable Impact” during the 21st edition of SIEE Pollutec Algeria, alongside our partner BNP Paribas El Djazaïr and the startup Nrecycli.

The discussion brought together three complementary actors to explore the conditions needed for the emergence and growth of startups and innovative companies capable of addressing tomorrow’s environmental challenges.

On behalf of Leancubator, Abdelfettah Herizi shared three key insights drawn from our field experience:

▸ On ecosystem challenges – Environmental impact startups are making significant progress in terms of quality and maturity. However, they still face a major obstacle: the lack of structured corporate demand. Securing the first meaningful contract remains the real challenge.

▸ On success factors – Beyond funding, what truly makes the difference is a deep understanding of the customer’s problem, the ability to structure the business early on, and being part of a strong support ecosystem.

▸ On corporate–ecosystem collaboration – Open innovation delivers tangible results when it is built around a clearly identified business challenge and supported by genuine commitment from both sides. Our partnership with BNP Paribas El Djazaïr is a concrete example of this approach in action.
